Guilford Center Benefit Plan
Guilford Center has developed a Benefit Plan for State Funded Services to assist consumers and providers in identifying the services that may be appropriate for individuals seeking services. The Guilford Center Benefit Plan for State Funded Services provides a consistent framework listing those services and service amounts that may assist consumers in each listed level of care.
All requests for services included in the Benefit Plan for State Funded Services are reviewed by the Guilford Center's Care Management Unit. Each authorization request is reviewed in light of the Benefit Plan with the authorization being based in part on the information presented in each request. The authorization is also based on individual consumer needs and the determination of medical necessity. Additionally, the authorization must take into consideration the provisions of the provider's contract, the amount of funding available on the contract and Guilford Center's budget. The Benefit Plan for State Funded Services may be updated from time to time to meet changing community needs, to include emerging services and to reflect changes in Guilford Center's budget.
We hope you find the Guilford Center Benefit Plan for State Funded Services helpful in understanding the services that may be appropriate for care. If you have a question or comment about the information presented in the Benefit Plan for State Funded Services, please feel free to send us your comments.
