State Announces Transition Timelines Regarding Medicaid Utilization Review
In April, Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Carmen Hooker Odom announced that ValueOptions (VO) would be providing Utilization Review (UR) services for all North Carolina Medicaid covered mental health, developmental disabilities and substance abuse services. Providers must obtain service authorizations from ValueOptions in accordance with the transition timelines.
