As you are aware, there are many changes occurring at the state level in the delivery of mental health services. This letter from our Agency Business Manager gives you an overview of how these changes affect the relationship between The Guilford Center and its provider partners. Use of CAFAS Discontinued
For: Providers of Child Mental Health Services
As you know, effective September 1, 2005 the State of North Carolina’s
license to use the CAFAS expired. It is no longer legal for us to use the
CAFAS. To date, we have received no information from the State as to guidance
in assigning children to a target population, without using the CAFAS score.
As soon as the State informs us of changes to the Child Mental Health Target
Population, we will pass that information along to you. Click on the link

Register Now for Endorsed Service Definition Training
For: Providers of Mental Health/Developmental Disabilities/Substance Abuse Services
The second season of the Clinical Skills Training Series for the North Carolina Division of MH/DD/SAS is open. Please visit the Registration Website www.behavioralhealthcareinstitute.blueshoe.com.
Each registration for Endorsed Service Definition Training requires the email address of the person who will attend the training event. Your training history will be tracked by your individual email address. If you do not have an individual email address, you can obtain one at no cost by clicking here: Get a free Free Yahoo email account here.
Medicaid requires specific training hours in the new Service Definitions in order to bill for services. Due to this requirement, there will be no partial day credit hours awarded. In the event that you do not complete a full training day, you may be given an opportunity to attend the next scheduled training of the topic.
