Endorsement is a new State-required verification and quality assurance

criteria to ensure that Medicaid services are provided in a manner consistent
with the Medicaid State Plan.
The endorsement process will take place in four different phases, which
will include various services as they are rolled out based on the new service
definitions. Phase 1 of the endorsement enrollment period is from October
1 to December 31, 2005. Providers interested in offering any of the above
services must attend a required training session to be able to enroll during
that time.
The Guilford Center will offer the following sessions for providers who
wish to enroll in Phase 1:
Dates: Monday, June 27 10:00 a.m.-12 noon OR 2:00-4:00
p.m.
Thursday, June 30 10:00 a.m.-12 noon OR 2:00-4:00 p.m.
Location: Bellemeade Center, 201 North Eugene St., Greensboro,
NC
Room 201 (2nd floor training room)
Parking: Park only in visitors’ spaces in lot located
at Bellemeade and Eugene Streets (across from the new ballpark).
Action Needed:
If you wish to attend, return the Confirmation Form indicating your first and second choices for sessions that you or your staff wish to attend. Fax Confirmation Form to Network Operations at 336.641.3655 by June 25 for the June 27th sessions or by June 28 for the June 30th sessions.

For: Guilford Center Service Providers
The N.C. Division of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities and Substance Abuse Services has extended the time when new Service Definitions will be implemented. According to a memo from Division Director Mike Moseley, the delay will be until October 2005. What this means is that services will continue as they are at present until these definitions are finalized.
